Is this sign also used for “sleepy”?
Hi Mary, Thanks for visiting this page. First, may I encourage you to visit our instead? As for your question, “sleep” or “asleep” is signed with the hand once (as you can see on our Dictionary Page), but “sleepy” is signed twice in close succession, along with closing and opening your eyes two times to accompany the hand gesture.
