Cousin
The cousin sign is made by making your hand into a C-shape. Place the C-hand by the side of your head and twist it back and forth.
In ASL proper, there are different cousin signs for male and female cousins. In Baby Sign Language, we try and keep it simple and just use this one sign.
SIGN USAGE
Starting with a favorite cousin (whether a real cousin, or an honorary cousin), have them make the sign whenever they are around the baby. Your baby will soon learn to associate them with the sign for cousin. As your baby grows familiar, start to use the sign with more cousins.
