Daddy
To sign daddy, dad, or father, make the number '5' in ASL, extending and spreading out the five fingers on your dominant hand. Then tap the thumb end of your '5' hand on your forehead.
If it's done right, you will look like a turkey. Another trick to help you remember daddy is that male signs are always above the nose, and female signs are below the nose - so the sign for daddy is the same as the sign for mommy, just a little higher.
SIGN USAGE
Whenever you see Daddy, you can wait till he catches your baby's attention, then say to your baby, "Daddy," and do the sign. Daddy can also introduce himself to the baby when he enters the room. "Hi, Baby. Daddy is back."

So just to clarify (because i’m a visual person), the sign for Daddy is the same as for Mommy just tapping on the forehead instead of chin? Because the picture looks totally different (to me).

Maybe I *am* the daddy! I know, crazy, right? Because only the mommy would ever be working with the baby, right?
