Point at your ear with your index finger. Alternatively, you can cup your hand to your ear as if you are straining to hear or listen.

We use the sign for hear/listen when we begin to transition into speech. We sign and say words to engage your baby's attention and encourage him or her to listen and repeat.

  Hello, You can string together the signs for “hear”, “me”(just point to the center of your chest with the index finger of your dominant hand), and “out”. This short sentence may be signed a bit differently across the United States (because there are some ASL signs with slight variations), but if you sign using the links given, you will be understood by your listener if they are already expert/advanced signers.

Hi, how would I sign “loud”?

To do the sign for “loud” you point to your ear and then shake your fists back and forth.
