To do the baby sign for ant, make your dominant hand into a fist or a curved 'C' hand, and rest it on top of your other hand, while your other hand makes a walking motion with your fingers.
We mainly use ant when we go outdoors and our baby sees a trail of ants, which grabs her interest.
Use the ant flash card in conjunction with the bee and caterpillar flash cards. The contrast will help your baby better understand the meaning of the word.

For a few of the signs (like for “ant”), the sign demonstrated in the video and the one on the flashcard are different. Is there any particular reason for that?
ADMIN – Hi Cam,
In ASL (like English) there are sometimes multiple ways to say the same word. We usually pick the easiest or most common version, but sometimes where both versions are commonly used we present both.
