To do the baby sign for find, use your right hand, with palm facing down, then with thumb and index together, take a grasping position. Do a grasping motion while moving your 'F' hand up, as if picking up or finding a small object.

We mainly use find when we want to teach our babies to find an object and bring it to us. This includes food, toys, and clothes.

Use the find sign to help your baby locate items such as their shoes or their toy flash cards. You can teach this sign by playing games and hiding items for your baby to find. As your baby gets more advanced, you can introduce the added challenge of distinguishing objects that are similar, or finding items in different locations; for example, you could ask your baby to find the blue + bear, inside the basket, or alternatively, you can have your baby locate items in different places, like the kitchen, or bedroom.
