Jacket
Jacket is signed exactly like coat: take both hands and make them into fists with your thumbs sticking up - or the 'A' letter sign in ASL. Move your two fists up and down in front of the chest, as if to adjust both lapels of your coat.
SIGN USAGE
Make the baby sign for jacket when you and your toddler are set to go out for a brisk morning or evening stroll and you need your down jacket on. If you are attending a more formal event with family or friends, then you can also teach jacket to stand for the more formal blazer.

Flash Card
Teaching your baby the signs for items of clothing seems to be a great way to reduce fuss when you are putting on various clothes. Teaching your baby with the flash card first seems to be easier and helps them get used to the idea.
