Jump rope
Jump rope is a natural sign. Take both hands and form a modified X sign on each, while holding them up to your sides while pivoting them to mimic jump-roping.
SIGN USAGE
Teach your toddler the jump rope sign when they see folks jumping rope in the park for the first time, or when they see their siblings, you, or your spouse jumping rope for play or exercise at home.
RELATED SIGNS
Flash Card
Teach your toddler this sign in conjunction with the flash cards for other types of exercise and sports. Kids usually have enough energy to have them bouncing off the walls, so it is a great idea to incorporate some parent-and-child bonding time either jump-roping, biking, or playing catch in the park.
