Puppet

Puppet is signed by forming the ASL letter 'F' with both hands (with your hands open wide, fingers splayed out, while the pointer fingers touch the thumbs on each hand). Then in alternating motions, draw both hands up and down in front of your body, as if you are mimicking a puppeteer who is manipulating a puppet.

SIGN USAGE

The puppet sign is a fun sign for babies and toddlers to learn and copy. Not only are they learning to communicate if they want to play with this kind of toy. You are also helping them in refining and strengthening their arms' motor skills in the process.

Flash Card

Puppets are among our favorite educational toys. You can teach your baby to ask for a variety of puppets by combining the sign for puppet with the sign for the character that he wishes to use. For example, we have a princess puppet and a cat puppet that have proven to be all-time favorites.
