To sign pancakes, take both your flat open palms and hold them together, both facing up, with your non-dominant hand under the dominant one, like the top hand is the pancake and the bottom hand is the frying pan. Then make a large flipping motion with your open dominant hand until it is facing palm down and touching your opposite palm. It is as if you are turning over a pancake to cook its other side.
Teach your baby the sign for pancakes to empower him to learn - and look forward to - your breakfast line up: pancakes, jam, cereal, milk, bacon, juice, and so forth.
Pancakes is a nice sign to teach your baby, as it equips him or her to tell you what they look forward to for future breakfasts or snacks. Teach this sign in conjunction with other breakfast food items.
