Reptile

Reptile is signed by mimicking the sideways slither of a snake or the swishing of a crocodile's tail. Take your non-dominant hand and clasp your dominant wrist with it. Now take your dominant hand and form a fist while keeping your pointer finger out. Swish it back and forth, like a reptile's tail.

Reptile is signed a bit like tail, so be careful not to get these signs confused.

Would reptile be an acceptable sign for iguana?

    ADMIN – Hi Veronica,

Yes, you could use reptile. You could also use lizard (you put your hand in front of your mouth and flick out your pointer finger – like a lizard’s tounge darting in and out).
