Tail
Tail is an iconic sign, as it mimics the wagging of an animal's tail. Take your non-dominant hand and form it into a fist as it sits on top of your dominant wrist. Now take your dominant hand and form a loose fist while keeping your index finger out. Wag this pointer finger back and forth, like an excited dog or cat wags its tail.
Tail is signed a bit like reptile, so be careful not to get these signs confused.
SIGN USAGE
Teach your baby or toddler the sign for tail when showing them various kinds of tailed animals, like cows, dogs, cats, and lions, whether in picture books, on video, or live on a farm or at the zoo.
