Tattoo is an iconic sign. Take your dominant hand, hold your index finger and thumb together, like you are holding a needle, and proceed to mimic tattooing your opposite arm just under the shoulder.
SIGN USAGE
Teach your toddler the tattoo sign when they show curiosity about the 'body art' that they see on various people you may encounter. You may also teach this sign at a children's party, where fake tattoos and face paint are part of the program. They may just want a unicorn tattoo, complete with glitter and sequins, tattooed on themselves!
