Wings an iconic sign. To sign wings, begin with both open, curved hands held out near each corresponding shoulder, with palms facing down and fingers together. Then gently flap both hands in unison, and finish off by taking your dominant hand to point close to your non-dominant wing.
Teach your baby or toddler the wings sign when they show curiosity about a bird in flight, whether you are seeing the bird in their story book, on screen, or out in the garden or park.
Teach your toddler the wings sign in conjunction with other bird- or flight-related flash cards.
