To sign zebra, take your strong hand and extend and separate your fingers. Starting with your hand on the opposite side of your body with palm facing you, form a claw shape, and drag the hand across your body.
It is like you are painting zebra stripes with your fingers.
Use zebra with the other animal signs and make a game out of it.
Babies just love animals. They especially love more unusual animals like zebras and giraffes, making these great signs to teach. When our baby is learning a new animal sign, we will often get a story book from the library featuring that animal. For example, read “How the Zebra Got its Stripes” when your baby is learning zebra.
