Lamb
Lamb is signed a bit like sheep, with an additional gesture. To sign lamb, place your non-dominant arm in front of you with palm facing up, then steadily move your dominant hand in a horizontal ASL letter V or number 3 shape across the top of your non-dominant arm, as if you are shearing the wool of the lamb. Finally, take your dominant hand, turn it upside down, and curve it as it hovers above your non-dominant curved hand, indicating something small or cute.
SIGN USAGE
Lamb is a fun sign to teach once your baby is enraptured by the cuteness of this gentle animal. Teach the lamb sign when you are visiting a farm, or when you encounter the lamb in the story of the first Christmas.
