To sign fall or autumn, make your flat, dominant hand move in a circular fashion on the elbow of your non-dominant arm as the palm faces the ground. Clench your non-dominant hand into a fist as your open, dominant hand mimics falling leaves off your non-dominant elbow (which reminds us of a tree branch).
Fall is signed a bit like country, so be sure not to confuse the two. To sign country, your flat, dominant palm is facing your elbow, whereas it faces the ground when you sign fall.
Teach your baby or toddler the fall or autumn sign when this season has rolled around the corner again.
This is a useful flash card taught best in conjunction with other nature, climate, and season flash cards.
