Start with your two hands out in front of your body, with your palms flat and facing your body. Place your dominant hand a little in front of your non-dominant hand. Then bring your dominant hand toward your dominant hand, bringing it near your body, in effect.
Teach near as a contrast to far. You can move a favorite toy close to your baby while signing near, then move it further away and say far.
Teach near as a contrast to far. Teach your baby these contrasting signs by placing favorite toys near and far, or by having yourself stand near then far from your baby, while making the appropriate signs. Your baby will eventually catch on.
