Note
Note is a natural sign. To sign note, hold out your non-dominant hand flat, with palm facing up. Then form your dominant hand into a modified ASL letter X sign, and start pretending to scribble with it on your flat palm.
SIGN USAGE
Teach your toddler the note sign when you are showing them that you are writing a note as part of your regular household or business-related paperwork. Teach it as well when you show them you are writing a note to their nanny, daycare, or preschool teacher.
