Sheep

The sign for sheep looks like you are shearing a sheep. You put your non-dominant hand out and across in front of your body, palm facing down, then you make your dominant hand into shears by extending your index and middle fingers out like a reclining letter 'V'.

To perform the sign, move your middle and index fingers back and forth intermittently along your non-dominant forearm, as if you were operating the shears. It's as if you're cutting the wool along the sheep's back.

SIGN USAGE

Sheep is a more complex sign, which is great for older babies with a bit more signing experience. Once they learn the sign, babies love the idea of shearing the imaginary sheep.
